L$15,000 Design Contest

Announcing the THiNC Printing Press 2.0 design contest, the winner chosen by THiNC will be award L$15,000 and limited signed Printing Press.  All entries must be received by January 28th, 2007 11:59 pm game time. Contestants may enter as many times as desired.  There is no theme so you will have complete freedom to design what you like, all I ask is that it stays somewhat relevant to the product.   This means there won’t be any THiNC Bears making THiNC Publications.   Go out there and start building the new THiNC Printing Press, and try to have some fun!

The winner will be decided on several criteria:  (Entrants are only prim builds no scripting)

  • Prim Count
  • Creativity
  • Functionality

The winner must be able to provide a full  permission copy of the winning entry with all textures with full permission to claim the prize.   The winning entrant may be modified or highly considered but not guaranteed for the final design of the new THiNC Printing Press.  All entrants will be considered property of THiNC.

To find out more information of the Printing Press check out the item in the product pages or the help section

Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Single-Texture Organizer, (first one in SL).  I believe this is a must for every novice builder or designer.   With even the novice builder or designer textures adds up in the hundreds.  How many textures do you have?  Have you spent numerous times searching for that special image that you thought you cleverly named?

With the Single-Texture Organizer you can now place your textures inside and browse and manage them graphically on a single panel display.  (Check out our Multi-Texture Organizer for viewing on 9 displays and other advance features.) The Single Texture Organizer can browse and retrieve textures. (Only to owner, no group access) You can also leave the organizer out because of these privacy features: Sleep mode (hides all textures on display either trigger, by not being used or by user) and Owner Access only. (Only the owner can browse and use any of the functions of the organizer it will be useless to any other.)   If you haven’t done so please try our demo at the store. ? (Some privacy and security items have been removed in the Demo Organizer in order to show its features to the public.)

The one small advantage of the Single Texture Organizer is that it will view all images with any permissions. The Multi-Texture Organizer will not do this because of SL technical difficulties but is minor due to almost all textures builders and designer use are already have full perms.

Overview

Teleporters are always seen in SL as useful but are hard to find for purchase and difficult to setup.   A lot of people resort in asking or paying scipters or a friend of a friend to build and setup a teleporter.   The THiNC Teleporter PRO is a fully functional teleporter with more extra features than a standard teleporter.  The THiNC Teleporter PRO supports multiple locations that you select by scrolling with the arrows and supports private teleports with an access list.  The PRO model has additional support of adding pictures for the locations.  This allows the user easier recognition of the teleport location.  Also an additional arrow was added to allow faster and more control of the location selection.   This teleporter was design for ease of use by editing a notecard.  If you would like to see this unit in person please visit our main store, we have all our items to demo.

What is included:   [ 1 THiNC Teleporter PRO,  1 THiNC Locator]

***NOTE: Teleporters are only capable to teleport distances of 300m away in the same sim.   Because of the pursuit of stability & accuracy this teleporter does not work physically above 500m.

Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Multi-Texture Organizer, (first one in SL).  I believe this is a must for every busy builder or designer.   With even the semi novice builder or designer textures adds up in the hundreds, even thousands.  How many textures do you have?  Have you spent numerous times searching for that special image that you thought you cleverly named?

With the Multi-Texture Organizer you can now place your textures inside and browse and manage them graphically on a nine panel display.  The Multi-Texture Organizer can browse, delete, and give textures. (Only to owner, no group access) You can also leave the organizer out because of privacy features: Sleep mode (hides all textures on display either trigger, by not being used or by user) and Owner Access only. (Only the owner can browse and use any of the functions of the organizer it will be useless to any other.)   If you haven’t done so please try our demo at the store. (Some privacy and security items have been removed in the Demo Organizer in order to show its features to the public.)

**** Due to SL technical difficulties the Multi-Texture Organizer can only view images w/ full permissions.  Images that don’t have these permissions still can be retrieved or deleted but are displayed with a default display image. If this is unacceptable please look at our single texture organizer which will handle all types of images.***

Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Inventory Box Organizer (First one in SL).  Are you tired of placing your items in boxes to un-clutter your inventory?  Then they just sit there because it’s just tedious to sort through and retrieve an item.  There must be a better way!  Now there is.

The Inventory Box Organizer will allow you place any items, from clothes to landmarks (except for scripts, put those in a box), and browse through and retrieve them with ease.  To take organization a step further the name is of the box is displayed, I recommend naming your box to whatever category suits it. (Ugly Clothing, Furniture, Dance Animations, etc.)   By doing this you can now place all your IBOs (Inventory Box Organizer) into one main IBO to take up less room.  An IBO can be left out because of the built in privacy and security features.  Only the owner may access its functions and will either timeout or be place in “Sleep Mode”.  This is where the buttons and text will disappear and look like a nice storage trunk.  The Inventory Box Organizer is available in four colors: Red, Blue, Green, and Black.  It is either sold individually or copyable.   With the copyable version you will receive all the colors.

If you have not done so please try out our demo IBO at our store. Of course some security and privacy features have been disabled to show the public its features.

*****NOTE:  There is no set maximum number of items that can be place in the organizer.  The old limit used to be 255 but it seems to be infinity or I’ll just say a lot.  (I have yet to get an official answer.)  I have gotten over 6000+ items in an organizer before and still operating.   I’ve been having a few customers that have been stuffing their organizers with 500+ items.  While the organizer can easily handle this number it can be an absolute bear to retrieve all of them in a timely fashion.  My recommendation is: KEEP THE NUMBER OF ITEMS LESS THAN 100 per box.   Try it out and retrieve several items and see how it operates first then add more if you want.   This  This is just a friendly warning and will not be responsible for lost items even though I honestly never encountered this problem before.*****

Overview

Thank you for your interests in the THiNC Big Display System.  With new changes of SL policy of funding only educational events, THiNC foresees a growing need for better educational tools.  This display system will be able to easily scroll through images in its inventory on a six panel display.  Once the image is found you may choose to send it up to four big screens.  You have complete control in which screen these images are sent to.  On the control panel there is a number display system that shows the current image on that display.  You may toggle whatever screens you want to send that image to.  These screens are available in several sizes 5×5, 10×10, and 20×20. (Only one 10×10 screen is included with the display system.)

*** Due to SL program difficulties the THiNC BIG Display System only supports images with full permissions. Images that do not have these permissions will automatically be given back to you.***

Overview

The THiNC Book has full animations and sound such as: the book closing, opening and turning pages.  The THiNC Book is transferable and fully modifiable.  You may color, texture or resize it any way you like.  If you don’t want to bother with step by step direction you can just throw your pictures in and it will sort the pictures alphabetically.  Or you can take control by naming them alphabetically to what will be shown first.  One way I recommend is naming them by numbers, ex: 1, 2, 3, etc.   1 will be first and so on.  The book may be browsed by anyone if left out.   This is a versatile book that can be use for many applications, here are some of the obvious ones:

1) PHOTO ALBUM - Setup your own photo album with your pictures to capture the memories.  Leave it out so your friends can browse through it.

2) Novel - Inspired author?  Just create and type text on each page using your favorite paint program.  Save it as a graphic file and upload the graphics and store them in the book.

3) Catalog -  Another advertising tool.   Use it for your items for sale, or a portfolio of your work, etc.  Place the book out in your store for people to browse or give them out using the publication package.  Setup the pages much like a novel.

4) Gifts - Create a custom albums or book to give out to a friend.   It would be a great gift for wedding guests.

5) Publish your book - Make multiple copies of your book to give out or to sell.  THiNC Printing Press Required.

*** Every texture or snapshot must have full permissions.   It will give any photos without full permissions back to you.  Also if you create a book for someone else make sure each texture or snapshot will have full permission to the person that it will be given to.  ( Check all 3 boxes  “Next owner can:”, Modify, Copy, Resell/Give away.) Otherwise it will warn you about the number of textures that do not have these permissions. ***
